Panama has the greatest number of bird species (970+) than any similarly sized country in the Central and Caribbean region of the American continent.Located at the Soberania National Park, in the province of Colon, only a 40- minute drive from Panama City, the Pipeline Road offers great birding opportunities; it goes 17 km north at the east bank of the Panama Canal, starting at the end of the Gamboa town. The pipeline Road is considered by many to be one of the best birding locations in all of the tropics. In a single day it is possible to see up to 300 species. Observe a variety of exotic tropical birds while enjoying the surrounding trees and plants of this area. You might spot many more animals, including Howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, frogs, toads, and rodents such as the agouti, paca, and capybara.

Identifying birds in Panama or finding a trail can be frustrating without a bird guide, who has all the necessary knowledge about the Panama Birds; bird sounds local migrations, habitats, local weather, etc. We have the contacts and know how to avoid unsafe places, to make sure you will have a unique experience in the field!
