Panama city is known as the safest city of Latin America.

Panama city offers many parks as: the metropilitan, the Chagres, camino de cruces, Soberania. The Summit is a park as well as a zoo: one can observe the eagle Harpia, the national animal of Panama and many other especies.

The province also includes the Pacific ocean coasts and the archipielago of Las Perlas, Taboga and Otoke.

The Islands were frequently used by pirates and were relatively undisturbed until the 1960s and 1970s when the building of the resort on Contadora took place to which the Shah of Iran retreated in 1979

The fish market in townand and MercaPanama outside the city are to be visited. The fish market counts with a welknown popular restaurant.
