Veraguas is the only province with both Caribbean and Pacific coastlines. The province is also home to spectacular mountains along the Cordillera Central that continues into Chiriqui Province. Veraguas offers visitors close contact with nature and opportunities to explore rainforests, mountains, beaches and islands. Coiba National Park, which contains the second largest coral reef in the central-eastern Pacific Ocean, is one of the largest marine parks in the world. In addition to its mountains and jungles, Veraguas also offers beautiful beaches including Playa Santa Catalina, Playa Mariato, Malena and Torio, which provide great opportunities for surfing, fishing, boating and other marine activities.
