Classic surfing involves rowing a wave, getting up and performing a series of turns, maneuvers and tricks, thanks to the push of the wave itself. It is a constantly evolving sport that is growing in popularity.

The best destinations to visit if you want to surf are:

Santa Catalina: This beach in Santiago de Veraguas has some of the longest waves in Central America, which can reach up to 15 feet in height. This beach is known for its waves with incredible tubes, rocky bottom and warm water temperature all year round. This beach is also ideal for people who want to learn to surf.
