Day 1: Meet and transfer from Tocumen International Airport to the Hotel Tryp Centro.
Day 2: Partial Canal Transit Tour: In the morning, you will be collected for your transfer to Flamenco. There you will take the tour bus, which will take you to the Gamboa area, where the trip starts. You will transit Pedro Miguel Locks. When entering Pedro Miguel Locks you will experience a drop of 9 meters in one step and find the Miraflores Lake, an artificial lake that connects Pedro Miguel Locks and Miraflores Locks. Afterwards you will enter the last set of locks called Miraflores Locks in the Pacific Ocean. You will be sailing the Pacific Ocean on the way to the disembarkation point at Amador Causeway, passing under the Bridge of the Americas (‘Puente de Las Americas’). Panama Bay will be the end of this unique trip. Sometimes, the trip can be the other way around with the ship departing Flamenco and a bus transportation back to the start point. You will spend another night at the Hotel Tryp Centro.
Day 3: Embera Tour: The Embera tribe lives at the shore of the San Juan de Pequenin river. To arrive to the community you have to transit a dam called Lake Alajuela, an hour from Panama City. On the shores of Lake Alajuela there´s a dock called ‘Puerto Vigia’ where you will be transported upriver to the Embera Community by ‘piragua’ (native canoe). This is an hour canoe ride and a wonderful experience out of ‘National Geographic’ you will never forget!
You will hear directly from the Indigenous what their life is like: Their hunting, fishing, the agriculture, harvesting of material for their handcraft, how they treat their illnesses and much more. Experience up close the Embera Indigenous traditional dances and see how they produce their body paintings, woven baskets, plates and masks. Walk through the lush and exotic jungle to learn about medical plants. Enjoy a traditional Embera meal comprised of patacones and fried fish/chicken. The Embera are very friendly and open people, they like to share their culture and learn from others. This Panama tour gives you a unique opportunity to learn about this tribe’s way of life! Another night at the Hotel Tryp Centro.
Day 4: This day includes a flight to San Blas. You will take an aquatic taxi to the sailboat. Meet your captain and be welcomed aboard one of the San Blas Sailing’s yacht. Enjoy a sailing cruise around the San Blas archipelago and experience the beauty of the 365 islands, among which only 10% are inhabited!
Day 5 & Day 6: Experience two beautiful days sailing around the San Blas archipelago, which is situated in the Caribbean Sea a few miles off the north coast of Panama, selected as the third most beautiful destination in the world! Visit the traditional Kuna Indian villages and see their famous Molas. Explore deserted islands, go snorkeling, fishing, kayaking… and enjoy real moments of peace reading, and relaxing away from the massive tourism!
Día 7: Flight to Panama City where you will have the day off to relax or to get to know your surroundings. Overnight at the Hotel Tryp Centro.
Day 8: Early in the morning you will take a ground transportation to Panama city. Our driver will pick you up upon arrival for the ‘El Valle’ Tour: El Valle the Anton is one of the most colorful areas of the Panamanian inner towns. Located two hours away from the Capital City, in the province of Coclé and at 600 meters above sea level you will find this unique town. Geologists have concluded that El Valle is the crater of an inactive volcano, the largest inhabited volcano crater in the world. The pleasant weather in the area invites the visitor to experience its attractions. Listen to the beautiful history of “La India Dormida”. We will take you to the ‘Chorro del Macho’, to the Zoo ‘El Nispero’, to Butterfly Haven and the Orchid Conservation Center APROVACA.
Return to Panama late in the afternoon. Stay at Hotel Tryp Centro for the night.
Day 9: Flight to Isla Colon, the northernmost and main island in the Bocas del Toro Archipelago located in the Bocas del Toro Province. The Bocas del Toro Archipelago is a group of islands in the Caribbean Sea in northwest Panama. With an indescribable and overwhelming natural beauty, added to the great combination of races and ethnicities, living in harmony with indigenous, Western Caribe peoples, Latino’s and foreigners, Bocas del Toro is not just a beautiful archipelago lost in time, blessed by nature – Bocas del Toro is an example of coexistence and multi-cultural respect for everyone. You will stay at ‘Gran Bahia Hotel’. Enjoy the rest of the day and be curious about the next day!
Day 10: Bocas del Toro offers some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the world. Large coral reefs, clear and pristine waters, safe and calm, great scuba diving sites and deep underwater cliffs are abundant – Explore the great underwater diversity on the non private boat tour we reserved for you! Visit the Dolphin Bay, Coral cay, Red Frog Beach and Punta Hospital. During the visit you will have the opportunity to snorkel. Overnight at ‘Gran Bahia Hotel’.
Day 11: Flight back to Panama City. Stay at Hotel Tryp Centro: Enjoy the atmosphere while reminiscing about the great time on your Panama Tour!
Day 12: At the appropriate time, transfer to Tocumen International Airport
