Day 1: Arrival in Panama

Our driver will take you from Tocumen International Airport to the Best Western Plus Panamá Zen Hotel.

Day 2: Partial Transit of the Panama Canal

You will be picked up from your hotel to reach the ¨Calzada de Amador ¨. The partial transit can be done in “south direction” or “north direction”, you will pass through the two sets of locks on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal, the “Miraflores” locks and the “Pedro Miguel” locks, the ¨Corte Gaillard ¨ (Corte Culebra) and Gatun Lake. You will navigate by the ¨Corte Gaillard¨ (Corte Culebra), one of the main points of interest, as it was built crossing the ¨Continental Division¨, you will see the new Centennial Bridge and the old Bridge of the Americas, as well as the historic village of Gamboa, seat of the dredging division of the Canal. Sometimes the trip can be done in reverse. You will spend another night at the Best Western Plus Panamá Zen Hotel in a standard room.

Day 3: Departure to Isla Contadora

Transfer to the Sea Las Perlas pier at Isla Flamenco, to board the ferry to Contadora, at 7h30. During the ride you will have the opportunity to see dolphins, turtles and even whale watching during the viewing period (July to October). Arrival around 9h00. Transfer to the charming Mar y Oro Hotel.

Day 4: Free day

Free day to get to know the island or relax at the hotel.

Day 5: Return to Panama City

Free morning.

The ferry departure to Panama City is at 15h30, so you should be at the boarding point at 15h00.

Our driver will be waiting for you in Isla flamenco to take you to the Best Western Plus Panamá Zen Hotel.

Day 6: Visit of the Emberá Community

The Emberá community lives along the San Juan de Pequenin River. To get to the community, you must cross a dam called Madden, an hour from Panama City. At the edge of Lake Alajuela there is a dock called “Puerto Vigía”, from where you will be transported upstream to the Emberá community by canoe. It is a one-hour canoe ride that feels like a wonderful National Geographic experience that you will not forget!

You will listen directly to the natives tell you about their life: hunting, fishing, farming and collecting materials for their crafts, how they treat their diseases and more. Experience the native Emberá dances up close and watch them make their tattoos, woven baskets, dishes and masks. Take a walk in the exuberant jungle to learn about their medicinal plants. Enjoy a traditional Emberá meal of plantain and fried fish / chicken. The Emberá are very kind people, they love to share their culture and learn from others. This excursion offers you a unique opportunity to learn about their life as a community! Another night at the Best Western Plus Panamá Zen Hotel.

Day 7: Departure to Boquete, Province of Chiriqui

Our driver will take you to Marcos A. Gelabert domestic airport where you will take a flight to the city of David, capital of the province of Chiriqui. After an hour’s flight you will be driven from David to Boquete: a pretty and small village of about 20,000 inhabitants in the western highlands of Panama, located between the Caldera River and the Baru Volcano and famous for its sweet oranges and the best coffee from all over Panama! You will stay at Hotel Ladera in a standard room.

Day 8: Zipline and Suspension Bridges

After breakfast, you will set off on another excursion, the largest zip line in Central America. Live great sensations! You will have a panoramic view of the huge trees: guaranteed entertainment and an exciting and educational experience.

It is a unique chance to see the biodiversity of the Panama rainforest from a different perspective. It is a circuit of 6 suspension bridges, 4.5 kms above the trees. The Bridges circuit is part of the private forest reserve called ¨Río Cristal¨, located on the Talamanca mountain range which borders the International Park ¨La Amistad¨ (P.I.L.A.). A local guide will accompany you, to let you know more about the exuberant flora and fauna of our forests in their natural habitat.

Day 9: Horseback ride

After breakfast, you will enjoy a horseback ride in the Caldera area where you will appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the Baru Volcano and the Cordillera Central.

Your horse-riding adventure in the Chiriquí Mountains will make your vacation in Boquete an unforgettable experience. For three hours, you will enjoy valleys, mountains and volcanic rock walls and you will be able to appreciate the green palette of mountainous vegetation and observe toucans and other birds roaming the sky. An excellent excursion for the whole family.

Day 10: Return to Panama City

At the end of the morning, transfer to David, where you will take a flight back to Panama City. Upon arrival, our driver will take you to the Gamboa Rainforest Hotel, located within the Soberania National Park and located just 30 minutes from the Chagres River and the Panama Canal. Enjoy an exotic refuge away from the noise and bustle of the city! Picturesque scenery, fauna, flora and luxurious rooms make the Gamboa Rainforest Hotel a one-of-a-kind place. Installation and night at the hotel.

Day 11: Gatún Expedition, Aerial Tram and Ecological Exhibitions

Today you will enjoy a boat trip, the Gatún Expedition, where you will pass through the Panama Canal, an opportunity to see large container ships. During this excursion you will see wild animals like the white-faced capuchin monkey, howler monkeys, turtles as well as the Cayman and crocodiles that live in the lake! After lunch, we will offer you the Aerial Tram excursion, a circuit that will allow you to climb several kilometers from the mainland through the silent forest. There you will observe a wide variety of birds, mixed with a thousand shades of green from different species of trees. Accommodation at Gamboa Rainforest Resort in a standard room.

Day 12: Departure from Panama

At the appropriate time, transfer to Tocumen International Airport for your international flight.
