Day 1: Meet and transfer from Tocumen International Airport to the Gamboa Rainforest Resort for your first night in Panama.
Day 2: You are booked today for a tour boat “Gatun Expedition”. Navigate on the Chagres River passing the historic bridge of Gamboa and arriving at Gatun Lake, which is the world’s second largest artificial lake with 423 square kilometers.
The Aerial Tram runs 1.2 kms from the forest canopy and in 20 minutes you will arrive to the top of the “Cerro Pelado” where you will walk a small path leading to the observation tower, which has 10 levels of spiral ramp.
Your will then head to the Ecological Exhibitions. Overnight at Gamboa Rainforest Resort in a Junior Suite room.
Day 3: Early morning, transfer to Albrook Domestic Airport. You will take a flight to San Jose Island, where you stay in one of the most unique island hotel in Panama:’ Hacienda del Mar’ in the Pearl Islands, only a 20 minute plane ride out of Panama City. The place consists of 14 private bungalows, a large and comfortable club house with bar and restaurant where, when they serve the “catch of the day” (fish, lobster and crabs) is just caught around the island. San Jose Island is a wild and beautiful place inhabited only by deer, wild pigs and other small mammals. Birds of brilliant plumage populate its old and pristine forests, fringed by hidden coves and beaches, washed by the lazy water of the Pacific. Overnight in your Toucan Suite.
Day 4: Enjoy another day on the beautiful San Jose Island: ‘Hacienda del Mar’ describes itself as an eco village by the sea. But ecology is only part of what is offered at the resort. As a fishing lodge, ‘Hacienda del Mar’ is almost unequaled. Sailfish and tuna cruise underwater mountain peaks rising from 9,000 feet. Snorkeling and scuba diving is awesome. Kayaks, 4 wheel motor bikes, mountain bikes, banana boats, beach barbecues, spring fed swimming pool, sauna and gym, pool table … all these diversions are offered! Overnight in your Toucan Suite.
Day 5: Flight back to Panama City, where you will stay at the Central Hotel!
Day 6: This day includes an early morning transfer to Albrook Domestic Airport (10 mn from hotel) for a flight to the San Blas Islands. Meet your captain and be welcomed aboard one of the San Blas Sailing yachts. Enjoy a sailing cruise around the San Blas archipelago and experience the beauty of the 365 islands, among which only 10% are inhabited!
All meals and beverages included on board.
Day 7 & Day 8 & Day 9: Experience three other beautiful days sailing around the San Blas archipelago, which is situated in the Caribbean Sea a few miles off the north coast of Panama, selected as the third most beautiful destination in the world!
Visit the traditional Guna Indian villages and see their famous Molas. Explore deserted islands, go snorkeling, fishing, kayaking …and enjoy real moments of peace reading, and relaxing away from the massive tourism. Everynight a different mooring!
Day 10: Flight back to Panama City, where we will take you to a Full City & Canal Tour: A trip to the most attractive and interesting sites of the Capital City, including the ruins of Old Panama City, which were destroyed by pirate Henry Morgan in 1671. Continue to the Colonial City or “Casco Viejo”, built in 1673, with special Spanish architecture, and where French workers, led by Ferdinand de Lesseps that initiated the project of the Panama Canal, had their homes. The tour will continue to the traditional and commercial areas, banking area, and the modern Panama City. Also, you will appreciate the biggest engineering structure of this century, considered the “Marvel of the World Number 8”: the Panama canal with the Miraflores locks. Visit to the Panama canal museum and short projection of a ducumentary about the construction of the Panama Canal. Afterwards you will see the vessels as they transit through the Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal. Overnight at the American Trade Hotel.

Day 11: You will be picked up at your hotel for a transfer to the Marcos A. Gelabert Airport to take a flight to the Central Provinces, specifically the Province of Herrera, Chitre where you will stay in the Hotel Cubitá. Cubitá is the name used for the pre-Columbian indigenous major river in the area, and also for a town near where today is La Villa de Los Santos.

Day 12: Considered by many “the cultural heart of Panama”, the inhabitants of the “Peninsula de Azuero” you may add a traditions and folklore tour with pride and express it in many festivals throughout the year. You will see in detail the preparation of the “Pollera”, one of the most beautiful traditional costumes of the world, visiting artisans who dedicated their life to the development of the dress. You will also visit local artisans who make “diablicos” masks, drums and gold jewelry as part of the typical Panamanian culture. Night at Cubita Hotel.
Day 13: Back to panama city to catch your int’l flight.
